Iran Mountaineering Supremo Elected UAAA Head

TEHRAN, November 29 (Mehr News Agency) – Sadeq Aqajani, president of Iran's Mountaineering Federation, and Homayoun Bakhtiari, the IMF public relations officer, were elected as head and secretary general of the Union of Asian Alpine Association (UAAA) here Saturday.

In a UAAA general assembly in Laleh Hotel, central Tehran, the representatives of China, Nepal, and Japan were voted as the vice-chairmen and six from South Korea, Japan, Nepal, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and China were announced the union members.

   

The union comprises 22 representatives from 10 countries of China, Taiwan, Pakistan, Japan, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, South Korea, Singapore, and Iran.
