TEHRAN, July 14 (MNA) -- Vocalist Homayun Shajarian accompanied by the Dastan ensemble will give concerts from August 21 to 26 at the National Grand Hall.

Dastan will perform the same selections that were performed in their previous concert tours in Europe and United States, the composer of the band, Saeid Farajpur mentioned during the press conference at the Iranian Artists Forum on Monday.

Pieces to be performed during the first portion of the concerts have been composed by Hamid Motebassem and pieces to be presented in the second section have been composed by Farajpur himself, he added.

Farajpur went on to say that Homayun Shajarian composed the pieces performed in special section.

Homayun, after many years of collaboration with his father Mohammadreza Shajarian, has performed his first series of individual concerts during a 24-day European tour in September 2007.

Speaking at the conference, Homayun Shajarian said that he is pleased that he has already experienced his first independent concerts with Dastan band.
