Oil prices surged Friday, with Brent crude approaching $110 a barrel as the US war on Iran fueled concerns about global supplies, according to Reuters.
Brent crude settled at $109.86 a barrel, up 3.7%, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude finished at $101.41, a gain of 3.5%, Reuters reported.
The developments have added pressure to global energy markets as the Trump administration weighs the economic consequences of additional sanctions on Russia.
