Negotiating with US ‘off the agenda’: lawmaker

TEHRAN, Mar. 20 (MNA) – The spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission has said that negotiating with the United States is not on the agenda.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Ebrahim Rezaei emphasized that negotiating with the United States is not on the agenda.

Turning to the security on Kharg Island, he pointed out that security has been restored and oil is exported from Kharg Island as well.

The meeting, which was held with the participation of officials from the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense, the latest situation of US-Israeli aggression against Iran was reviewed.

The Armed Forces of the country are at the apex of their defensive preparedness to give a crushing and decisive response to all the enemy's evil acts and aggression, Rezaei underlined.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the spokesman pointed out that, “Negotiating with the US is not on the agenda and Iran is merely focusing on punishing the aggressors who initiated war against the Iranian people, so that all false news that American sources are spreading about a ceasefire or negotiations, which are aimed at controlling energy and oil prices, are sheer lie.”

"In the current circumstances, Iran will stand resolutely against the Zionist and American enemies until the aggressors are completely deterred and finally punished," Rezaei added.
