Sources reject reports of missile launch exercise in Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (MNA) – While there were reports by local Iranian media based on local people's reports in various cities in western and central Iran, indicating missile test launch, the national TV said such reports were not correct.

Tehran-based Fars news agency reported on Monday afternoon, citing local people about the missile test launch across different provinces in Iran.

"Reports of missile test--launches are coming in in Khorramabad, Mahabad, Isfahan, Tehran, and Mashhad," Fars wrote its telegram channel.

It was also reported earlier on Monday that the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army, General Ami Hatami, paid an inspection visit to units stationed in the west of the country.

Later, the national Iranian TV known as IRIB rejected the reports, saying that "The published images are not related to the missile test and are not accurate."

Sources told IRIB that no missile tests were conducted today, and the white trails in the sky are the trails of a high-altitude aircraft.
