Iran showed no mercy against Qatar, dominating its second match at the Asian Youth Games in a lopsided sweep: 25-12, 25-8 and 25-12.
With Tuesday's victory, Iran will advance to the quarter-finals stage of the games as the leader of Group B above China and Qatar with two wins and six points.
In the boys' volleyball contest, teams from Iran, China, Qatar, Bahrain, Pakistan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Indonesia will compete for the medals.
The tournament groups are as follows:
Group A: Bahrain, Pakistan, Mongolia
Group B: Iran, China, Qatar
Group C: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia
Group D: Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Indonesia
