UNSC to hold meeting regrading mass graves in Gaza

TEHRAN, May 05 (MNA) – The United Nations Security Council is set to convene a closed meeting regarding the discovery of mass graves in different areas across the Gaza Strip.

The United Nations, through its Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, called for an independent international investigation into the recent discovery of mass graves inside Al-Nasser and Al-Shifa hospitals in Gaza, WAFA News Agency reported.

Two graves were discovered at the Al-Shifa Complex containing the remains of 500 bodies.

Meantime, more than 395 bodies were found in three mass graves at the Nasser Medical Complex.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

At least 34,596 Palestinians have been killed and 77,816 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
