Kazakhstan government resigns

TEHRAN, Feb. 05 (MNA) – The government of Kazakhstan has resigned, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has accepted the resignation.

On February 5, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev accepted the resignation of the government, led by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, and signed the corresponding decree, QazMonitor reports citing Akorda.

The decree appoints former Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar as the Acting Prime Minister. The staff is instructed to continue their duties until the approval of a new government.

The decree officially comes into force from the day of its signing.
