New incident reported in Red Sea

TEHRAN, Jan. 10 (MNA) – Some sources reported that a ship was targeted in the Red Sea early Wednesday.

British Maritime Trade Organization (UKMTO) said that it has received reports near Yemen, adding that there had been multiple reports of Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) activity in the area.

British maritime security company Ambrey also said that an oil tanker saw three boats from which two missiles were fired at it.

No more details regarding the issue have been released so far and there was no official comment on it from the Yemeni authorities.

In the past weeks, the Yemeni army has targeted ships destined for Zionists' ports in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait in a show of support for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Yemeni army has repeatedly said that all ships except Israeli or bound for occupied Palestine are safe while sailing through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.
