A prominent Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) military advisor in Syria by the name of Seyyed Razi Mousavi was martyred in an Israeli regime's airstrike on the suburbs of the Syrian capital of Damascus on Monday.
Mousavi is said to have been one of the close companions of the martyr Qassem Soleimani, the former IRGC Quds Force commander who was assassinated in an airstrike by the occupying US army in early 2020 near Baghdad airport in Iraqi.
Earlier today, local sources in Syria reported an airstrike by the Zionist regime of Israel on an area in the Zainabiyah district in Damascus, the capital of Syria.
In a statement, the IRGC confirmed Mousavi's martyrdom, saying that he was a brigadier general and "was one of the companions of martyr general Hajj Qassem Soleimani and was in charge of logistics support for the Resistance Front in Syria."
The guards further vowed revenge for his martyrdom on the savage and usurping Israeli regime.
