Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks at the 7th edition of Forum of Ancient Civilizations held in Tehran on Thursday where he emphasized that today's world suffers from the effects of violent discourse and instrumental use of international principles.
Referring to the conditions in Gaza, he called it a stain on the forehead of humanity, adding that more than seven decades of occupation and the crimes of an usurping regime are beyond human imagination.
He further noted that the Israeli crimes have been committed amid the silence of those who claim a rule-based world and human rights.
Iranian top diplomat clarified that the killing of more than 20,000 civilians in the past 75 days and the displacement of the Palestinian nation is another part of Israel's actions for the axis of cultural relics in Quds.
He also stated that ancient civilizations, which are the pioneers of the civilization of peace, while condemning these crimes, need to employ all their means and potentials to stop the situation and prosecute war criminals.
Moreover, referring to the fact that in 2023, the World witnessed an insult to the sanctities of Muslims, Iran’s Foreign Minister said that the desecration of holy book had no reason other than sinister political goals and disruption between nations and religions.
