Israeli troops storm Gaza hospital, interrogate men

TEHRAN, Dec. 12 (MNA) – Israeli forces have stormed a hospital in northern Gaza, rounding up Palestinian men for interrogation, health officials say.

The regime’s forces raided Kamal Adwan Hospital on Tuesday, after imposing a siege on the complex and shelling the hospital for days, Press TV reported.

The Gaza Health Ministry warned on Monday that “the lives of patients at the hospital are at risk.”

And Ahmed al-Kahlout, head of the hospital said that Israeli forces bombed the maternity ward, resulting in the deaths of two mothers along with their newborn babies.

He also warned that the situation in the hospital is “extremely difficult” due to a severe shortage of water, food, and fuel. The troops of Israel targeted the women’s maternity unit “without prior warning or explanation.”

Following the raid on Tuesday, Kahlout said Israeli troops gathered the hospital's medical teams and displaced men in the courtyard.

He said there were 65 cases of infections, 12 children in intensive care, six premature babies, 100 medical personnel and 3,000 displaced people inside the hospital.

Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesman for the Gaza health ministry also confirmed that Israeli forces are taking the Palestinian men with them.

He expressed fear that they would be subject to arrest or execution.

"We urge the UN, World Health Organization and Red Cross to immediately act to save the people inside the hospital and to protect it.”

Israel launched its relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip from the air and land on October 7, when he also imposed a siege on the populated enclave.

The regime’s forces have so far killed more than 18,412  people in Gaza. Two-thirds of those killed are women and children. At least 50,100 people have also been injured.
