N. Korea blames US for instigating Israel-Hamas conflict

TEHRAN, Oct. 23 (MNA) – North Korea on Monday blamed the US for being behind the ongoing war between the Zionist regime and the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas, saying Washington is "entirely" responsible for the tragedy.

Pyongyang blamed the US following Joe Biden's recent trip to occupied Palestinian territories where he reiterated his backing of the Zionist regime.

"The US is the ringleader in the Middle East situation," the Yonhap news agency said, noting that "A massive battle of slaughter is intensifying in the Middle East due to the biased and intentional instigation of the US."

North Korea took issue with how Washington vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for humanitarian aid access to Gaza last week.

Pyongyang lashed out at both the US and the European Union over the vote, saying Washington has "altogether annihilated a small chance to prevent the worsening of the situation in the Middle East," while the EU backed the stance with the "absence of its independent thinking and principle."

Earlier this month, North Korea denounced the Zionist regime over the conflict, saying it is the "consequence of Israel's ceaseless criminal actions" against the people of Palestine.

The Israeli regime launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas waged the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime's decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

Since the start of the Israeli aggression, thousands of Palestinians have been killed and injured.
