IRGC naval forces hold pro-Palestine drill in Persian Gulf

TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (MNA) – The commander of the Basij Third Naval District of the IRGC Navy in the north of the Persian Gulf said that the IRGC vessels held a naval drill in support of the people of Gaza Strip on Saturday.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday on the sidelines of the IRGC naval drill, Rear Admiral Ali Bakhshaei said, "The naval exercise in support of the oppressed people of Palestine was held in the cities of Ahvaz, Hendijan, Arvandkanar and the naval base of Imam Hassan Mojtabi (AS)."

"In this exercise, the participants declared their disgust with the heinous crimes of the Zionist regime by moving their vessels in the waters of the Persian Gulf," the commander said.

Admiral Bakshaei went on to note, "In the drill, in which the flags of our country, Palestine and the Resistance Front are flown on the vessels, the participants declared their readiness to defend the oppressed people of Palestine."

Health officials in the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip say the Israeli bombardment has killed at least 4,137 people since October 7, when the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas launched an unprecedented large-scale attack against the occupying Israeli regime. Another 13,162 individuals have also been injured.
