Iran luminaries society to praise author Ayati

TEHRAN, Sept. 30 (MNA) -- The Iranian Society of Cultural Works and Luminaries is to honor the scholar, author, and translator Abdolmohammad Ayati here on Oct. 18.

 

Born in 1926, Ayati has written and translated nearly 40 books.

 

Ayati, who is a member of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, published his first work “Marsh” in 1961.

 

Translation of the Holy Quran, Nahj-ul-Balagha of Imam Ali (AS), and Sahifeh Sajjadieh -- the collection of prayers attributed to Imam Sajjad (AS) -- are some of his works.
