Tahmasbi fights back to give Iran world Greco-Roman bronze

GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 26 (MNA) – Iran’s 84kg Greco-Roman wrestler Saman Tahmasbi fought back to bag bronze at the world seniors’ meet here Tuesday.

Tahmasbi came from 3-0 down to trounce his Finnish rival 8-3 in the losers’ group and add the bronze to his teammate Hamid Surian’s gold medal.

Surian celebrated the 55kg title Monday.

Mohamed Abdelfatah from Egypt overcame Turkey’s Nazmi Avluca in the final to take the 84kg gold.
