IIDO promoting Islamic ideology

TEHRAN, June 22 (MNA) – Iran's Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO) was established on June 22, 1981 following a decree by the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini with the aim of improving and promoting the Islamic culture and ideology.

 

The organization’s activities thanks to the Islamic government’s general policies and the public needs underwent some changes.

The main duties of the organization are to make policy, plan, steer, organize, support, and supervise the public and religious events.

 

IIDO is doing its best to revitalize and promote Shia history and culture while seeking unity among all Islamic religions.

 

It also conducts in-depth studies on the enemies’ cultural onslaughts and anti-Islam propaganda to make policies to thwart their conspiracies and to enlighten the general public.

 

The cultural needs of people from all walks of life particularly the youth are paid due heed to and the organization has made every effort to meet them by using modern promotional programs.

 

IIDO setting rules and regulations closely supervises the translation and publication of religious texts and above all the holy Quran.

 

It also holds international conferences, festivals, and exhibitions to promote the Islamic culture.

 

The House of Quran, Art Bureau, the English-language daily Tehran Times, Mehr News Agency, and Amir Kabir Publications are the IIDO’s affiliates.
