Visual Arts Festival jury selected

Masters Aidin Aghdashlu, Mohammad Ehsaii, Hossein Khosrojerdi, Farah Osuli, Mehdi Hosseini, and Arya Eqbal are the members, who will judge the works in two stages.

The submitted works will be judged in the two under-15 and 15-25 age groups.

The interested applicants are expected to send their works to the secretariat within three days, said the festival manager Seifollah Puya-Rad, adding the deadline will not be extended.

Niavaran Cultural Center in northern Tehran will host the festival from June 30 to July 7.

Organized by Damunfar Company, the festival aims to advocate Iran’s under-25 artists in the fields of painting, drawing, poster designing, and illustration.

The winner will pay a visit to Germany’s Faber Castell, an old long established art materials companies, and will also attend the company’s Art Academy during a weeklong stay.

The second- and third-placed artists will be awarded in cash.
