18 foreign companies to attend maritime expo on Kish Island

TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (MNA) – The managing director of Iran’s Ports and Marine Organization (PMO) said despite the US’s pressures, 18 international companies have registered to attend the international maritime exhibition which is set to be held on Kish Island in December.

Ali Akbar Marzban noted that 18 foreign companies and 230 Iranian firms will participate in the 20th International Marine Industries Conference and Offshore Technological Exhibition of Iran (IRANIMEX 2018).

He added, the foreign firms, coming from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Greece, Oman, China and Taiwan, have received their pavilions and will attend the event despite the US’s unilateral sanctions on Iran.

The participants will showcase their latest technologies and services related to the marine industry. That includes onshore and offshore facilities and services such as supplying marine equipment, dredging, as well as marine transportation, marine tourism, engineering and consultation, research and training, and construction of watercrafts.

The exhibition is supported by a multitude of organizations including the Iranian Association of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Kish Investment and Development Co.

IRANIMEX 2018 could be a great opportunity for participants to get a better knowledge of Iran’s maritime and offshore industry. The event plays a vital role in establishing new business ties between Iranian and international companies.
