Trump cannot handle world politics by trade regulations

TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (MNA) – Parliament Speaker Special Aide on International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said “the United States International politics cannot be governed by trade rules, and Mr Trump will inevitably change his policies.”

According to the official website of Iranian Parliament ‘ICANA’, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Anthony Smith, a senior assistant to New Zealand’s prime minister on Monday in Tehran.

In the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian praised the political stances of the European countries, while called on them for ‘serious, swift and practical’ steps.

He also warned against the consequences of the Israeli regime’s warmongering and provocative actions in the region.

The Iranian official further expressed Iranian Parliament’s readiness for closer parliamentary relations with New Zealand and exchange of delegations.

The senior assistant to New Zealand’s prime minister, for his part, said that Iran and New Zealand have close relations, as well as common views on various issues.

Smith reiterated his country’s support for Iran nuclear deal, describing the deal beneficial to global peace and security. He also expressed his country’s support for the Palestinians, saying “New Zealand defended the Palestinian cause at the UN. We are interested in improving the situation of the Palestinians, but unfortunately Israel has shown no interest.”

“Despite the defeat of ISIL in Iraq, the terrorist group still has not been annihilated and there are concerns about the return of the group in Iraq and Syria,” the assistant to New Zealand’ prime minister noted.
