Iran, S Korea coop. on cultural technologies

TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (MNA) – On a follow-up to agreements signed in Tehran, a host of 20 Iranian knowledge based companies along with some officials of Iran’s department of Science and technology left for Seoul.

A group of Iranian knowledge based companies travelled to South Korean capital city of Seoul to attend the 2nd joint forum of Iran and South Korea.

When visiting Tehran, South Korean President Park Geun-hye signed 19 Memoranda of Cooperation during her meeting with President Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the signed documents, a memorandum of cooperation was signed on cultural technologies and creative industries by Iran’s vice-president for science and technology and South Korea’s foreign minister (on behalf of minister of culture, sports and tourism).

The first joint forum of Iran and South Korea, after the agreements were brokered between Iran’s vice-president for science and technology and South Korea’s minister of culture, sports and tourism, was held on December 12, 2016 in Tehran.

With realized interactions between Iranian and South Korean companies on the run in the course of the last year, twenty Iranian companies divided in 3 categories of video-games, animation, and digital content education attended the second joint forum.

Following the articles of agreements, the second joint forum of Iran and South Korea under the theme of cultural technologies and creative industries will be held on Wednesday in Seoul.
