Kuwait hopeful about Iran-PGCC talks

TEHRAN, Mar. 27 (MNA) – Kuwaiti Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Jarallah voiced hope that Tehran-Persian Gulf Cooperation Council dialogue start in very near future.

"Kuwait is hopeful that exchange of ideas between Iran and Persian Gulf Cooperation Council start in the very near future as the written response of Tehran to the message delivered by the Kuwaiti Emir was handed to the council," said Kuwaiti Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Jarallah on Sunday.

The Kuwaiti diplomat reassured that Kuwait has delivered the message of Tehran to the Arab heads of states. He added that the foreign ministers of the council would convene on Thursday and the issue will be discussed there. "The following steps will be taken afterward."

"Our friends in lran are planning to build the second unit of Bushehr nuclear plant and we hope that security measures are taken to prevent any regional radiation," said the Kuwaiti official after being asked about expansion of Iran's peaceful program of nuclear energy.
