Svatopluk Čumba, Ambassador of Czech Republic to Iran, met Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (TCCIM) Masoud Khansari at a time when TCCIM is preparing to deploy a top-ranking trade delegation to Prague in less than one month.
During the meeting, Czech’s Čumba recalled the exchange of several delegations between the two sides following Iran’s nuclear deal since last year saying “in addition to visits of business owners of the two states, commute of political figures has also given way to reinvigoration of vase economic cooperation.”
He referred to holding of the first meeting of Iran-Czech Joint Economic Mission earlier in Prague adding that both parties reached seminal economic agreements in various fields including joint investment.
He evaluated banking transactions as the main barrier to elevation of bilateral relations stating that relevant negotiations were held with banking and monetary officials of the two countries in a bid to tackle ongoing issues.
TCCIM Head Khansari, for his part, touched upon arrival of several Czech delegations over the past year underlining that industrial collaboration between Tehran and Prague dated back to half a century as both sides enjoy close ties in various industries.
He voiced TCCIM’s readiness to deploy trade delegations to the European country adding “TCCIM members are owners of active businesses familiar with Czech industries and the upcoming visit could revolutionize bilateral economic relations.
Khansari further expressed hope that plans to be pursued by the Iranian delegation in Prague will yield fruitful results paving the path for reinvigoration of cooperation between Iran and Czech.
