US backed al-Nusra not committed to Syria’s truce

TEHRAN, Sep. 16 (MNA) – Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs, condemned the violation of truce in Syria by US and US backed terrorists.

“Despite the agreement on ceasefire in Syria and the full observance of the truce by the Syrian government, the US does not meet its promises,” reiterated Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs, on Friday.

“The White House has never targeted this infamous terrorist group, blacklisted by the UN,” lamented the Iranian diplomat, “and now they have changed the name of the group to save the terrorists.”

Amir-Abdollahian asserted that ‘the only objective of the US in Syria is to topple the legitimate president of the Arab country, Bashar Assad.

“The US with no qualms about the condition of the Syrian people, is only after its election interests, no matter how much damage or how many lives it claims from the people of the region,” highlighted the former deputy foreign minister of Iran.

Referring to Tehran-Moscow cooperation on resolving the Syrian crisis, He restated the strong support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation for people, army and legitimate president of Syria. He voiced also his appreciation for what he called the deep understanding of Russia about the developments in Syria.
