Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov arrived in Tehran on Wednesday for a short one-day visit and held talks with Iran’s deputy FM for legal and international Affairs Abbas Araghchi as well as Deuty FM for European American Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi.
Discussing the latest developments of implementing Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in both fields of sanctions and technical issues, both parties underlined Iran and Russia’s will for successfully implementing the nuclear deal.
Iran-Russia cooperation on development of modern technology of stable isotopes in Fordo, construction of the second phase of Bushehr nuclear power plant, deal of heavy water with Russia and technical cooperation with the IAEA were also among the issues the deputy FMs touched upon on Wednesday.
They also discussed the obstacles on path of implementing JCPOA, in particular the unconstructive approach of some states, and called for the removal of obstacles on the way including easing Iran’s trade with the world.
