Iranian Club Dubai with about five years of experience to display latest works of Iranian cinema, has screened Iranian movie Zapas in Dubai’s cinemas coinciding with its screening in Iran’s cinemas.
Comedy Zapas written and directed by Borzou Niknejad and produced by Seyyed Amir Parvin Hosseini has gone on the screen since Thursday last week.
Zapas won Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival in April.
Iman Omidvari was also nominated for the Crystal Simorgh for Best Makeup Artist at 34th Fajr International Film Festival.
Zapas recounts the story of a third class soccer team which climbs to the second category. Saeed, major player of the team, is injured at the last minute of the last game and his health is endangered. The story of the movie then takes shape.
