The tournament kicked off on July 1 in the Turkish city of Mersin and will come to an end today on July 4.
Iran’s only representative at the competitions landed third in the ring section behind Turkish and Colombian rivals.
Farnia had attended the event along with Amuzadeh Mahdiyarji as the coach while Iran’s Seyed Hamidreza Hashemi was present at the tournament as an international referee.
The sportive event had attracted athletes from Turkey, Austria, China, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Colombia, Azerbaijan Republic as well as Iran.
Mersin 2016 had special significance as being the last World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics approximately one month before RIO 2016 Olympic Games.
