On the occasion of Eid of Mab’ath, Prophet Muhammad’s Ascension, a number of Iranian high-ranking officials and ambassadors of Islamic countries along with a group of people from all walks of life met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution earlier this morning.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed his congratulation on the occasion of this Eid and extended it to the whole Islamic Ummah and the humankind; and elaborated on the concept of Bethat (Ascension) according to Holy Quran; “Mab’ath is Eid of Prophet’s mission and the day of reference to Divine nature of creation and toward a life associated with “rationality, liberality, justice & servitude towards God” and that prophets were missioned to guide people towards this nature within the framework of guidelines by God Almighty.”
Leader of Revolution underlined that the opposite front to Bethat was Ignorance (Jahiliyya) which have been facing each other from the beginning of Islam up to now. “Today, the most important duty of Islamic Ummah is confrontation against Ignorance movement which is led by the United States and the pioneer on the path of Bethat is the Islamic Republic of Iran which continues the way the late Imam Khomeini began without any fear from bullying powers,” he said and continued that “Ignorance is not a movement bound to the era of Prophet; it is a lasting movement standing against the front of prophets and has reappeared in a new shape by exploiting science and technology.”
He dubbed afflictions such as two world wars and killing of millions of people, exploitation of nations and their resources, and oppression of people ‘under the boots of colonialism’ as consequences of modern Ignorance and provided the example of India whom the Britain inflicted huge afflictions upon. “Ongoing wars and conflicts in western part of Asia are the consequences of what the front of Ignorance and Evil has done.”
Ayatollah Khamenei deemed the Zionist movement dominating the world a clear example of system-making by evils; “current situation of the world is the result of dominance of a widespread network of Zionist capitalists who rule even the government in the US and grasp of parties to power is based on their viewpoints,” he said. “That is why nowadays, the absolute policy of the United States and its following states is to fight against Islam, Iran and Shiism.”
The Leader described vigilance and awareness of the Iranian nation and Islamic nations as the factor angering the corrupting powers; “that is why Iran is under sanctions due to its opposition to US policies in the region, because the Islamic Republic is an obstacle to their excessive policies in region.”
The Islamic Revolution’s Leader reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never invaded other countries, while ‘evil powers’ have used atomic bombs against hundreds of thousands of human beings in Hiroshima, and still years after it, ‘they refuse to apologize for that.’
“Corrupted & corrupting groups who are today committing the worst crimes in name of Islam are under support of western powers,” Ayatollah Khamenei asserted. “The West pretends to forma coalition against ISIL, while they are in fact supporting them and in line with their anti-Islamic campaigns, introduce them as ‘Islamic State’ to distort the image of Islam.”
Pointing to expansion of Islamic movements across the world which is despite the anti-Islamic approach of the Ignorance movement, he concluded that “Islamic movement who gained more momentum with the formation of Islamic System in Iran, will continue its way and will certainly achieve victory.”
Prior to the remarks by Ayatollah Khamenei, President Rouhani addressed the meeting where he congratulated the Eid and highlighted that Prophet of Islam is not a source of blessing for only Muslims, but also for the whole humanity.
He also criticized Islamophobia and anti-Islamism promoted by the West and their followers and blamed those who brought terror and insecurity to the region and established an usurping regime about 70 years ago and emphasized that “many insecurities, terrors and wars in our region roots in the occupying regime of Israel.”
