President of Belgian Senate due in Tehran on Wed.

TEHRAN, Apr. 24 (MNA) – President of the Senate of Belgium Christine Defraigne and her accompanying delegation will visit Tehran on Wed. to expand parliamentary ties, Iran's international advisor to parliament speaker said.  

According to Mohsen Sheikholeslam, Christine Defraigne, President of the Senate of Belgium, and her accompanying delegation will visit Tehran on April 27 at the invitation of Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.

The Belgian delegation will stay in Tehran for a five-day visit and hold talks with a number of Iranian officials on expansion of ties.

Defraigne is expected to meet with President Rouhani, Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Head of Strategic Research Center at the Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati, and Aide to the President, Hossein Fereydoun.

She will also hold talks with Head of the Center for Women and Family Affairs, Shahindokht Molaverdi, International Advisor to the Head of the Judiciary, Ebrahim Raeesi, as well as Secretary of Iran's Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani.
