Head of NLAI leaves Tehran for Germany

TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (MNA) – Invited by his Austrian and German counterparts, head of National Library and Archives Organization of Iran (NLAI) left for Germany this morning.

Presidential advisor and Head of NLAI Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri was invited to Germany by heads of Bavarian State Library and German National Library.

In his trip to Munich, Salehi Amiri will meet the directors of Bavarian State Library as well as State Archives and also visit the International Youth Library (IYL).

The Iranian official also plans to visit Munich Digitization Center and the Institute of Book and Manuscript Conservation.

Moreover Salehi Amiri will meet President of Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation ‎Hermann Parzinger and head of German Federal Archives and will pay a visit to Berlin State Library.

Head of NLAI will then travel to Vienna to expand mutual cooperation and hold a meeting with his Austrian counterpart. In his trip to Austria, Salehi Amiri will visit Austrian National Library and hold meetings with heads of Institute of Iranian Studies and the Department of Manuscripts.

He will also deliver a speech at the session of ‘The cultural diplomacy of Iran following JCPOA’ which will be held by Iran’s cultural attaché office in Vienna.

NLAI’s IT and Research Deputy Fariborz Khosravi and the center’s PR Manager Amin Arefnia are accompanying him.
