Iran, Switzerland discuss ME issues

TEHRAN, Nov. 26 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy FMs Takht-ravanchi and Amir-Abdollahian received Swiss FM official Rossier and discussed the current crises in the Middle East.

Switzerland is willing to develop ties with Iran in all areas of cooperation according to visiting Secretary of State at the Swiss Foreign Ministry Yves Rossier.

The Swiss official made the remark in his meeting with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi.

Now it is a decent occasion for planning extensive economic cooperation between Iran and Europe, said Takht-e Ravanchi for his part referring to the positive outcomes of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The two sides examined the latest developments in bilateral relations and exchanged views on the ways to broaden the ties and solve problematic issues.

Rossier, in addition to Takht-e Ravanchi, met with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, and discussed regional issues.

Touching upon the problem of terrorism in the region, Swiss FM Secretary of State called for dialogue as a stable solution for the crisis.

Amir-Abdollahian, for his part, asserted that the responsible behavior of regional countries plays an important role in the fate of the events.

He added that as terrorism and extremism are challenging the whole Middle East, the solution lies in unanimity in dealing with it.
