Iran calls for academic cooperation with Serbia

TEHRAN, Feb. 22 (MNA) – Minister of Science, Research and Technology called for expansion of cooperation between Iranian and Serbian universities on Sunday.

In a meeting with his visiting Serbian counterpart Srdjan Verbic, Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi called for expansion of cooperation between Iranian and Serbian universities, IRNA reported.

Srdjan Verbic, who is on a visit to Tehran to attend the first Summit of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), expressed hope that NAM meeting would lay the grounds for further academic cooperation with Iran.

During the meeting, Farhadi expressed Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Serbia in the fields of education, technology, knowledge-based companies, exchange of students and university professors.

First Summit of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministers of Science and Technology, attended by representatives from 60 countries and several international scientific institutes, opened in Tehran today.
