On the sidelines of Razavi Khorasan research and technology exhibition, Iran's first 100KW turbine designed in Air and Solar Research Institute of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, was successfully installed and launched in Binalud plant.
The turbine has a permanent magnet generator and works with the average speed gearbox. Rated power of the turbine equals to 100 KW in a wind speed of 10 meters per second.
After field testing, the turbine will be produced abd marketed commercially.
