According to IRNA, based on researches by Ethnology Research Center of ICHTO in Koucheri village, the people of the area have been using drip irrigation due to difficulties of transferring water from aqueducts to high lands.
They took old useless pots from home and used them for irrigation with a very simple mechanism. The farmers made a hole at the bottom of the pots, filled them with water and then buried the pots at the foot of the trees in the ground while keeping its mouth left open outside. The pot was disembogued gradually irrigating the trees.
Koucheri is a small ancient village in northern part of Golpaygan, Isfahan province. The village has seven old graveyards with epigraphy on its stones.
