Saving basic resources by using new energies

TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (MNA) – Deputy of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization said Renewable energies are essential for saving the basic resources such as water, soil, air and vegetation as they reduce the need to fossil fuels and wood.

Parviz Garshasbi, pointing to the first national conference on renewable energies and sustainable development which is to be held this winter in Zabol, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, said this conference could set proper ground for using new energies in deprived region of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Emphasizing that this event and the similar gatherings should be accompanied by practical strategies, the official stated “we should use energies that have the least destructive effects. Replacing new energies would decrease the production of carbon dioxide which is very harmful to human health.”

Garshasbi described the use of new energies in line with policies of Forest Range and Watershed Management (FRWO) and environment production, adding that “with cooperation of private sector, this organization has established the facilities of solar water heater in three villages under the international management program of watersheds.”

He also announced that FRWO is trying to cooperate with China on transferring the Chinese local knowledge of using solar energy in greenhouses.

The official meanwhile noted the application of solar panels in deserts as a common method of sand stabilization and electricity production in China.
