Iranian hand-woven carpet expo opens

TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (MNA) – The 18th Iranian hand-woven carpet exhibition opens tomorrow at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground.

The Mehr News Agency quoted Iran National Carpet Center stating that the aim of holding this fair is to introduce and promote the export of Iranian hand-woven carpets and to create an appropriate atmosphere for extended interaction among people working in this art/industry.

350 companies from 30 provinces including manufacturers, exporters, designers, restorers and sellers will take part in the fair.

On the sidelines of the show a carpet will be selected as the most exquisite. A photo gallery of hand-woven carpets will also be underway in hall 37.

Carpet merchants from 68 countries have been invited to the fair.
