TEHRAN, Oct. 24 (MNA) – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei considered the youth to be the main element in confronting the ill-wishers.

The text of the statements of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution at the meeting of the organizers of the national congress commemorating 9,800 martyrs of Kermanshah province, which was held on October 6 was published today at the venue of the conference in Kermanshah.

Kermanshah province, in the western region of Iran, was on the front line of conflicts both before and during the Iran-Iraq Imposed War (Holy Defence Years), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said in this meeting.

In those days, both the young men of Kermanshah and other Iranian youth stood up against enemies. Some became martyrs, he said, adding, "Nearly ten thousand people from Kermanshah province were martyred in these conflicts."

"Today we need these youth, too," the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, adding, "In those days, the enemy's war was a visible war, but today it is a combined war ; It is both a physical war and a psychological war."

Ayatollah Khamenei added, "Today, undoubtedly we are strong; we are a hundred times stronger than that day."
