TEHRAN, Mar. 30 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed that expanding and consolidating cooperation will benefit Turkmenistan and Iran.

Amirabdollahian wrote in his X social account on Friday, "During my trip to Ashgabat, I had meetings and talks with Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the President, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, and Rashid Moradov, foreign minister of Turkmenistan".

Following up on the agreements of the heads of the two countries and reviewing the process of cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, energy, transit, fight against terrorism, and consular affairs and developments in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Gaza were on the agenda, he added.

Amirbdollahian, who had visited Turkmenistan to discuss with the high officials of Turkmenistan, left Ashgabat for Tehran on Thursday night.

One of the goals of Amirabdollahian's trip was preparing for President Raeisi's upcoming trip to Turkmenistan.
