TEHRAN, Mar. 03 (MNA) – Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji held meetings with his counterparts from different states, as well as the OPEC's Secretary-General on the sidelines of the GECF summit in Algeria.

In a meeting between Owji and OPEC's Secretary General Haitham al-Ghais, the two sides discussed the situation of global crude oil markets.

They also conferred on the effects of geopolitics on global oil prices, the increase in global oil demand due to economic growth, and the amount of OPEC member countries' investment in oil projects.

Owji also met and held talks with his Angolan counterpart on the sidelines of the GECF summit in Algeria.

During the meeting, the Iranian minister voiced Tehran’s readiness to export techno-engineering services to Angola.

The Angolan minister, for his part, talked about the issue of boosting gas production for domestic use and electricity export.

In a meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, Owji discussed various issues regarding the development of joint gas fields, gas trade, and payment methods.

Owji also met and held talks with his Venezuelan counterpart on the sidelines of the summit in Algeria.

During the meeting, they emphasized the need to follow up on existing contracts and exchanged views on how to overcome obstacles.
