TEHRAN, Feb. 06 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Coordination on Economic Diplomacy described the African continent as a land of opportunities for Iranian companies.

A conference on opportunities, obstacles, and solutions for the development of economic relations with Africa was held with the presence of managers and representatives of public and private sectors, especially managers of important companies active in Africa.

This meeting was held to exchange opinions and synergize the public and private sectors to boost Iran's economic relations with African countries as much as possible and to help increase the export of technical and engineering goods and services to this continent.

The meeting was chaired by the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Coordination on Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari.

Explaining the importance and position of Africa in Iran's foreign policy, Safari described the African continent as a land of opportunities for Iranian companies.

The head of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Africa also pointed out the importance of creating a trade road map with Africa.

He also emphasized the need for holding continuous meetings between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Joint Chamber of Commerce, and the Trade Development Organization as the main custodians of facilitating and implementing trade development policies between Iran and Africa.
