TEHRAN, Jan. 31 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has urged the US to stop using the language of threat, warning that the Islamic Republic would give a prompt and decisive response to threats.

The top Iranain diplomat's remarks amid US threats to retaliate against a recent drone attack in a northeast Jordanian outpost that killed three American forces, for which it has blamed what it called Iran-backed groups.

Speaking a cabinet meeting chaired by President Ebrahim Raeisi in Tehran on Wednesday, the Iranian foreign minister said that Resistance groups in the region has emerged as reality against Zionist Israeli regime's occupation of palestine.

The US should stop using the language of threat and blame-game, and instead should focus on a political solution, Amir-Abdollahian said, warning the United States that Iran’s response would be swift and decisive if it faces threats.

The Islamic Republic has already denied any involvement in the Sunday attack against American forces in Jordan, and said that Resistance groups in the region do not take orders from Tehran.
