Speaking to reporters, Nasser Kan'ani pointed to Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s meeting in the Qatari capital with the head of the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas’ Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, describing Iran as the most important supporter of the Palestinian nation.
He said that during their meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political and field developments in Gaza within the context of close bilateral communication and regular consultations.
Haniyeh also offered a thorough report on the situation in Gaza and hailed the Resistance forces’ favorable morale and capabilities.
“Our understanding from the meeting is that the Resistance is in very good conditions both in the battlefield and in its military power, despite all the crimes that have been committed [against them],” Kan'ani explained.
The Hamas leader also declared the Resistance movement’s readiness to reach a permanent ceasefire but made clear that they would not negotiate while being constantly attacked by the Zionist regime, he said.
He added that the Iranian foreign minister also discussed the outcomes of his diplomatic endeavors during the meeting.
Nearly 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s bloody war on the besieged territory. A temporary ceasefire agreement was reached late last month but the occupying regime violated the terms of the deal.
