Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks during a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah which was held on the sideline of a meeting of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva on Wednesday.
He also referred to a recent meeting of Islamic and Arab leaders in Riyadh on the Palestinian crisis as a major step, underlining the need for taking further measures to stop the Zionist attacks on Gaza.
The foreign minister said that although Washington sends messages to regional countries urging them to exercise restraint, the US government itself is actually a party in the Gaza war and has mobilized all its facilities to support the Zionist regime.
He stressed the need for the Islamic countries to provide all-out support for the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank and to prevent the Zionist regime from reaching its expansionist and evil goals.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister, for his part, welcomed joint efforts to give a boost to bilateral relations between Tehran and Kuwait City.
He stressed that providing support for the Palestinian people and the establishment of a Palestinian state in the occupied lands are among his country’s unchangeable approaches to the Palestinian issue.
Al-Sabah also reiterated that Kuwait will continue with the dispatch of humanitarian aid to Gazan people.
