The ceremony took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and aligned with the Asia Rugby Council Meeting and Executive Committee Meeting.
The Award for Character honors an individual, union or group who, have shown an outstanding display of character which embodies the true values of rugby: integrity, respect, solidarity, passion and discipline.
Under the leadership of Hosseini as Iran Rugby Federation’s caretaker, Iran’s women’s rugby team won a bronze at the 2023 Asia Rugby Sevens Trophy in Doha, Qatar in early November.
