TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (MNA) – Hossein Amir-Abdollahian talked on the phone with his counterpart in Malta about the Gaza war, stressing that there is no parallel between Hamas emancipatory action and the Zionist regime atrocities in Gaza.

In the telephone conversation with Malta's Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, Ian Borg, the top Iranian diplomat said that Iran is opposed to killing civilians and children throughout the world.

Unfortunately, the emancipatory action by Hamas and the repeated attacks and war crimes of the occupying Israeli regime do not match by any means, he underlined.

Referring to the framework of Brazil's initiative to approve a resolution to pursue a political solution to stop attacks against civilians and send humanitarian aid to Gaza, Amir-Abdollahian expressed hope that this resolution through the cooperation of the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, would be approved to help the Palestinian people.

Referring to his country's non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council, Malta foreign minister emphasized the unacceptability of the continuation of conflicts and the spread of war, and emphasized the continuation of efforts to reach a political solution and expressed hope that the war would not spread to other regions.
