TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (MNA) – A telephone conversation took place Friday between the ministers of foreign affairs of Russia and Azerbaijan, Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov to discuss Caucasus and the 3+3 forman which includes Iran.

They discussed current matters of bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international agendas ,according to News Armenia webiste.

Also, the approaches to the activities of the 3+3 consultative regional platform—including Armenia—were disucessed, and an agreement was reached on further contacts.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently announced that he agreed to hold a meeting within the framework of "3+3" format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Georgia, Turkey and Russia) which was proposed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. 

Pashinian said,"At that time, it was agreed that the next meeting will be held in Tehran in the framework of 3+3 format. we are ready to continue the negotiations in this format."
