Speaking at the parliament's open session on Wednesday, Ghalibaf referred to the Israeli regime's barbaric attack on Gaza's al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, dubbing the attack a horrific genocide.
Saying that the Zionists have revealed their hideous face and bloody hands to the world, the Iranian official slammed the silence and ineffectiveness of human rights and international institutions in the face of the Israeli regime's crimes.
"The era of writing (useless) statements and expressing false regrets is over and the world is waiting for practical actions," he stressed.
He went on to say that Muslim and Arab nations expect their governments to condemn the Zionist regime's crimes and take practical measures to stop this war machine.
"The Zionists are opening the gates of hell with their own hands, " Ghalibaf cited, adding that the Israeli regime will destroy itself with these endless cruelties.
On Tuesday, at least 500 civilians, mainly women and children, were killed by Israeli airstrikes on al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City amid a relentless war by the regime in the besieged Gaza Strip. The actual death toll could be far higher since, according to the territory's health ministry, "hundreds of victims are still under the rubble."
The strikes came while thousands of civilians were seeking medical treatment and shelter at the hospital from incessant Israeli airstrikes. The war had already killed thousands of people, including hundreds of women and children.
