TEHRAN, Oct. 02 (MNA) – The Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad on Monday refused to play Sepahan, and the match was called off.

The Saudi team traveled to Iran to take on Sepahan at the Naghsh-e-Jahan Stadium in the central city of Isfahan.

The team refrained from taking to the field to kick off the AFC Champions League game that was supposed to start on Monday at 7:30 local time, the IRIB reported.

The Vavel sports website posted a message claiming to be "official" saying that, "The game was postponed to another day and the club's delegation is already leaving the stadium."
