TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) – On the visit to the province of Isfahan on Friday, President Ebrahim Raeisi ordered the launch of the second phase of the project to transfer water from the Sea of Oman to the central Iranian province.

The President visited the first phase of transferring water from the Sea of Oman to Isfahan and ordered the start of the second phase of the project on Friday morning.

In the first phase, 70 million cubic meters of water will be transferred from the  Sea of Oman, while in the second phase, 400 million cubic meters of water will be transferred.

The massive project to transfer water from the Sea of Oman to Isfahan is done through 980 km long pipeline, of which 520 km have been released, 420 km have been excavated, and 214 km have been piped.

The president is also scheduled to inaugurate the the Foulad Mobarake power plant with a capacity of 914 MW on today's visit.

President Raeisi and his cabinet usually visit different provinces across the country to listen to people's demands face-to-face and inspect and inaugurate government projects in those provinces.
