TEHRAN, Sep. 25 (MNA) – Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance discussed the expansion of Tehran-Cairo banking ties with the Egyptian Minister of Finance. 

Ehsan Khandouzi, Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance arrived in Cairo on Sunday at the head of a delegation to attend the 8th annual meetings of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

During this visit, Khandouzi met and held talks with Egyptian Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait.

In this meeting, Khandouzi expressed the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop banking cooperation with Egypt as well as transfer pharmaceutical technology and medical equipment to the country.

Also, cooperation in the field of customs and tariffs and support of banks to businessmen and investors were among the axes that were agreed upon by the ministers of the two countries.

The Egyptian minister stated that Egypt considers it important to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing hope to see the improvement of relations between the two countries soon.
